There has been a resuest where hte user wishes to create a QT file with individual age groups, but for the actual results you want to have combined age groups?
 
If this is the case then set up your event winner as per the qualifying times i.e. 9yrs.... 10yrs etc and create your qualifying time.

Copy and paste that file (it's the one ending .QTF) somewhere safe then re configure your event to the age groups you wish by using the 'edit' function in meet schedule (see image)
 
When you have finished file the schedule, check all 3 boxes, (entry files, Headers & QT file) click on continue and that will re create your meet definition files the way you want them (if you already have entry files in there you get a warning, obviously click no you don't want to overwrite your entries.)
 
Then overwrite the current .qtf file with the one you previously saved somewhere safe and you should be able to input qualifying times as you wanted. When entries are made the QT file will check individual age groups.
